Card Roulette #185 - Joy

Well, it's always a joy to be on Craft Roulette and last night was my 10th visit! The wheel was pretty friendly, and the parameters were:

Project: card with a pocket

Colours: Fresh & Clean

Element: rhymes with -ool

Random: Columns

You can watch the episode here if you missed it.

I made a one-layer square card with a self-folding pocket on the inside for a gift card. (Started with a piece of white cardstock 4.25x10, scored at 4.25 and 8.5, leaving 1.5 to fold up as the pocket).

I blended fresh & clean blue CP inks  (the ink sponsor of Craft Roulette), through the Driven Snow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (a spin sponsor), both on the outside front and back, and the whole inside of the card as well.

I used another ACLD stencil (Festive Stripes) on the front of the pocket as little columns.

I masked the sides of my card (again, outside and inside) and blended more blue ink along the taped edges to create another column.

And, my stamped sentiment from Mama Elephant also has a columnar feel.

My die cut sentiment is a retired die from Winnie & Walter, inked with Fiesta Blue.

Welcome Back, Mary!

After a short hiatus, Mary is returning to Craft Roulette this week and we're so happy - we missed her! If you want to join in the fun, share a card, using 4 wheel parameters of your choice and upload to the Facebook group!

I chose

Project #5: z-fold card

Colours #24: pink plus 2 (green and blue)

Element #12: bouquet (EH tulips)

Random #8: old product (EH tulips)

Craft Roulette #144 - Thinking of You

I was the guest on Craft Roulette last Friday (my 9th time!!) and it was so much fun! Craft Roulette is a live crafting challenge where wheel spins decide the parameters of our project. Luck was with me this time!

Project: Card for someone special

Colours: Christmas Tree

Element: Wreath

Random: Hand-drawn border

I used greens, teals and yellow to make my wreath using my Stencils 360 tool and the Mandalas stencils.

If you watched on Friday night, you saw me cut my sentiment from gold metallic cardstock, but it really disappeared in the busy-ness of the stencilled wreath:

So I added another layer that I had swiped Uptown ink onto.

I used a scrap of Inca gold cardstock to make some little round embellishments with a polka-dot cover die. I placed them on each point of my wreath

I used a Karin marker for my squiggly border and added some Emerald gems from Crafty Meraki.

Craft Roulette - Thanks!

I had so much fun on Friday night, playing Craft Roulette with Mary Gunn! The wheel was actually very kind to me (for a change! LOL!)

You can watch my episode here:

Project: Slimline (I opted for mini-slim)

Colours: Purple & Orange +1 (I used green, plus neutrals are always allowed)

Element: Sack (WHAT?!)

Random: Gems/Sequins

I cut a cardbase and a panel from white (embossed with an embossing folder for some dimension). I cut a frame from kraft cardstock and hand-cut my 'sack' which I used as a vase for my flowers.

I blended the orange and purple on a piece of scrap cardstock and cut the flowers, and then did the same with two green inks for the leaves.

I added a sparkly thanks die-cut sentiment from my stash along with some Mystic Topaz gems to finish the card.
