Good morning! Well, the wait is finally over and the Zen Garden release from Catherine Pooler Designs is now available!
This is such a big (and incredibly fun) release that we are having 4 days of blog hops (complete list for today's hop is below) to celebrate and to make sure that you get a good look at all the new products and how the Creative Team used them! There's 8 new colours of inks, and a ton of stamps, dies and other goodies too!
Today we are featuring Zen Feather (and matching dies) and Chevron Cheer stamp sets as well as the Ovals and Flowers die set.
Stamps: Zen Feather
Inks: Shea Butter, Polished, Stone Blue, Skylight, Midnight
Dies: Zen Feathers Matching Dies, (Circle dies - not in this release)
Paper: White and Midnight
This doodly daisy in the Zen Feather set makes my heart go pitter patter! I stamped it (and a little leaf) with Midnight ink and then used the matching dies to create masks before blending inks around it and giving it a spritz of water. Look how beautifully they blend and then react with water! I cut it out with a circle die and popped it up over the hole I created in my white panel with a larger circle die. I mixed and matched the sentiments in the set a bit to create my own custom sentiment.
Stamps: Chevron Cheer
Inks: Midnight, Shea Butter, Seafoam, Stone Blue, Polished
Dies: Ovals and Flowers
Paper: White and Midnight
This stamp set is full of pretty flowers and sentiments. And the dies create these pretty scalloped frames (or you can cut solid ovals). I love to make 4 1/4 X 4 1/4 square cards, so I always like to see how dies work with my smaller format. I took my oval 'off' the edge and stamped flowers and leaves in the scallops. I used the stitching image as an additional detail on my black edge.
Be sure to leave a comment at every stop on the blog hop for a chance to win. Each day, a full set of the Zen Garden inks will be given as a prize to a randomly-drawn commenter. If you have already ordered them, you will get a $45 Gift Certificate for a future purchase.
