Rainbows for Erica Instagram Hop

A bunch of us have gotten together to let our friend Erica know that we're thinking of her. We are having a rainbow-themed Instagram hop - I hope you'll stop by and check it out!

I used the new Essentials by Ellen Rainbow Plushie Felt die to make a card. It's easy to leave out the stitching guide dies (which are so useful for when you want to stitch the felt together).

I cut the full shape of the rainbow from the front of my black card and glued a white shape in the back, so that it's visible through the window.

I lined the inside of the window with Lawn Fawn pearlescent vellum.

One of the nice things about this set is that each arc in the rainbow is a separate die - no need to cut the whole rainbow 6 times from different coloured cardstock.

I cut it from white cardstock and then coloured each arc with two shades of Catherine Pooler ink.

I glued the rainbow to the inside of my card and put a cloud over top for my sentiment.

I glued another cloud to the front of the card, along with the little smiley face.

The colourful rainbow is almost visible from the outside of the card, symbolizing brighter days ahead.
