Today I have a card where I used the new Sketch Plaid Background stamp from Catherine Pooler designs and created a new look by moving my cardstock and repeat stamping with different colours.
I stamped Limoncello, Be Mine and Fiesta Blue, but you can see it resulted in some orange, green and purple as well!
I used my Original MISTI and moved the cardstock to the right by 1/4 inch each time before stamping with the new colour. When it was finished, I trimmed the panel and spritzed it with Avery Elle Shimmer Spray (I put that stuff on everything! LOL!)
To finish the card, I used the Love Grows Coordinating dies to create some 'daisies' and I blended Limoncello and Tiki Torch ink on them. I added Diamond Stickles on top for some sparkle. I stamped You Are From Awesome/Wonderful over top of the Awesome word die cut.
This feels like spring may actually be on its way, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteYou mentioned in your video about batch making cards the other week that you find the Dahl cutter difficult to control when lining up small pieces because of the 'bar'. That is actually the pressure bar (I know what it is called because it broke mine) and you can hold the small pieces quite tightly by pressing on the bar. hope that helps. I have used mine for over 16 years now and still love it!
