Good morning! Today is Day 1 of 3 days of Blog Hops to celebrate the arrival of new goodies at Catherine Pooler Designs! Click on the graphic below to shop all new products! See below for the full hop for today - the more you comment, the more chance you have to win a prize (details below).
My first card is a shaker card using the new In Flight Butterfly die. I started by cutting the butterfly out of a white panel. I used sponge daubers to gently add ink around the edges of the wings, starting with Limoncello, moving on to Tiki Torch, Party Dress and finishing with Grape Crush.
I built my shaker with a double layer of foam tape, filled it with sequins and backed it with black for drama. I adhered it to a cardbase that had a layer of striped paper from the Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper Pack.
Stamps: Note of Thanks Stamp Set
Inks: Midnight, Limoncello, Tiki Torch, Party Dress, Grape Crush
Paper: White, Midnight, Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper
Dies: In Flight Butterfly die
Other: Acetate, foam tape, sequins
My second card shows off the new Limoncello ink (along with some others!) and the new Wonderful Wildflowers stamps and dies. This set is a layering set and comes with a number of flowers and leaves that all have solid and outline stamps, giving you so much flexibility. After I stamped my panel of flowers, I stamped the sentiment before using the matching die to cut one flower out and pop it up with foam tape.
Stamps: Wonderful Wildflowers
Inks: Midnight, Limoncello, Tiki Torch, Mandarin Spice, Over Coffee
Paper: White
Dies: Wonderful Wildflowers
Other: Stickles
Catherine has done it again with another fabulous background stamp! I thought it would be fun to pick out a pattern and colour it with Copics, using a lighter colour in the centres and a darker colour around the edges, to give a stained glass look. I stamped the circular sentiment on a die cut Spiro Doily.
Stamps: Kaleidescope Background Stamp, Note of Thanks Stamp Set
Inks: Midnight
Paper: White
Dies: Spiro Doily (previously released)
Other: Copics
Be sure to hop and comment on all the blogs for your chance to win! 5 random winners will be chosen to receive two free ink pads (and free shipping!) Winners will be announced Friday, May 25, on Catherine's blog.
