Still playing with Concord & 9th's You Are Enough. This time I watercoloured, using Distress inks. Again, I cut the edge so that the flower petals could hang over a little bit. Sentiment is from Birdie Banners.
I also made this card for Simon's Wednesday Challenge, where Technique Tuesday products are being featured:
The red edge was created by putting some red Ken Oliver Colourburst powder into a container of water and letting the paper soak it up for a while - I love the movement of the edge - almost like it was splashing! I used an old Ali Edwards/Technique Tuesday sentiment.
Love seeing how you used the new products. Both are gorgeous! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI always love orange and turquoise and the petals hanging over the edge are perfect!
ReplyDeleteAs for the second card - what a genius idea and such a brilliant effect! Love love love it!
Gorgeous cards - the techniques are so eye catching.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Ardyth - love the way you have sited the Thank You sentiment against the edge of the colour in the second card.
ReplyDeleteBlessings

Look at you rocking the watercolors, Ardy! That floral number is beautiful!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! My favorite is the lovely flower but I am so intrigued with the fabulous results you got in the second card. Because of the color it sort of looks like boiling hot lava to me but it does look like waves, too, so perhaps it's the Red Sea :)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful designs Ardyth - your yellow flower is so pretty cut outside the box!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous splashes of color!

Beautiful! The first card is simply gorgeous!!! The second color really does show movement and that's wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteDelicious watercolouring, Ardyth ... love the golden bloom with the aqua background ... and that soaked up red ... wow, yes, so splendidly splashy! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTwo more stunning creations! The watercolored flower card is so pretty! Love the white/stone layers.
ReplyDeleteAwesome second card! The 'soaked up' border is so cool! So cool that the 'soaked up' color left the perfect spot for the "y"!
Stunning cards x
ReplyDeleteHanging off the edge draws more attention to your lovely watercolored flower. And that red. Wonderful!
