CASology 47 - Wheels!

Today's CASology Cue Card is Wheels!

It's time (in Toronto, anyway) to start thinking about year-end teacher thank yous and gifts. As I went through all my stamps to see what 'wheels' I had, I came across this old Lizzie Anne Designs school bus. I decided to stamp it going off the page and coloured it with Copics. Then, I added a little 'gravel' (unknown little swirl) spraying in the air due to its quick departure.

I used a Paper Smooches Shadows long oval stamp to create the shadow under the bus and keep it from floating in space! Added a simple Paper Smooches sentiment and was amazed at how well all these different stamps worked together to create (let's face it) a very, very happy scene!

And now it's your turn to link up your wheelie great cards. The deadline is Sunday at 4:00 pm CST.

Before you go, drop by and check out what the rest of the Design Team did with this week's Cue Card:

  1. Your coloring always takes a plain image and transforms it into something almost 3-D. Love how you added the shading under the bus!!

  3. Any teacher would love this card (I'm a previous teacher, so I speak from experience.) You've managed to say so much with the partial image of the bus rolling away. It gets an A++!

  12. ...I can almost hear the teacher's clapping as the students leave for the summer....

Fabulous job 'grounding' your bus! Isn't it amazing how something as simple as a shadow can create a scene versus just images stamped on paper?

Gorgeous job shading the colors - your Copic coloring skills are amazing! Are you using the Neena Solar Classic paper?

Perfect sentiment...which I'm sure relates to the teachers just as much (if not more) than to the kids!

  15. Love this, Ardyth! The last child dropped off on the last day of school, and away flies the bus. Wonderful card, and one any teacher would love to have. (or maybe all the teachers are on that bus and are headed to the nearest pub to celebrate!) Great card. Bev
