This week's One Layer Wednesday challenge is being hosted by Heather, and the challenge is to be inspired by packaging.
This is my second 'made-in-Canada' post this week - anyone who lives in Canada and shops at a Loblaws-affiliated grocery store will recognize this brand immediately. It's the store "no name" brand (their basic, low cost generic). They also have a more upscale store brand called President's Choice.
The product range in these two store brands goes from basic groceries to frozen dinners, batteries and shampoo to banking and insurance. They even had a reality-TV show, where they chose their next products from enthusiastic home cooks. In my house alone I had these crackers, chicken stock, butter chicken sauce, marshmallows, flour, olive oil, frozen fruits and vegetables - I'm sure you get the idea!
COOL! I love the Sunniness of YELLOW!
ReplyDeleteThis is fab, Ardy! A case of art imitating life by the Queen of heat embossing!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to come over for a heat embossing lesson!
ReplyDeleteSo neat! Great inspiration my friend!
Wow! For sure this is no generic card! Two colors, big and bold. Great sentiment too, Ardyth. Big love on this one! Bev
ReplyDeleteSo simple and bright from an unexpected inspiration. Good job!
ReplyDeleteWow, cheese is the last thing I would be inspired by but this is a great card from the packaging inspiration. Love that neat embossing!

ReplyDeleteI love the embossing effect!
ReplyDeleteSeeing something as stunning and crisp and eye-catching as this in ordinary budget-range packaging, Ardyth ... wow ... that's truly inspired (and inspiring)! Anita :) (bowing low!)
ReplyDeleteLove the bold yellow background!
ReplyDeleteWe have President's Choice stuff here - I had no idea it was Canadian!
So fun to see your inspiration, you're always so good about sharing it with us : ) Love that typography. The embossed letters are so scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought to take the no-name yellow packaging as my inspiration but your card is superb. Very nice job on lining everything up so perfectly.
