This week's One Layer Wednesday is hosted by Susan, who is kicking off the 2012 Gratitude Campaign - her very own annual opportunity to (and I quote) "jump in a pile of autumnal gratitude and roll around in it"! It's linked to Thanksgiving (Canadian in October and US in November), but hey, the great thing is, you can be grateful any time you want!
What a wonderful idea! Think how good you feel when someone tells you that they're happy to see you, or happy to know you and have you in their life. Think how much better the world would be if we didn't ignore the opportunities to tell people in our lives how grateful we are for them (or even just assumed that they know how we feel). We cardmakers are lucky, because we have a fantastic, creative outlet for making someone else feel good - our cards. Which are amazing, because they are tangible, and the recipient can refer back to them and remember that good feeling again and again!
So make a 'thankful for you' card and link it up on Susan's blog.

ReplyDeleteIt really is easy to let 'life' get in the way of showing gratitude. I'm sure that the majority of us make cards not only for the fun of it, but because we know that we have the opportunity to brighten someone's day!
ReplyDeleteThis sweet card will definitely warm someone's heart!
