Joy
This week's CAS challenge on the Outlawz Blog is to make a card with a happy or joyful theme and colours. I've been thinking that I'm getting behind on my Christmas cards, this Savvy joy stamp has been sitting on a shelf (rather than in its proper drawer) for months and I just got some new snowflake dies from My Favourite Things, so this card came together rather easily (along with a clear 'to the world' stamp - unknown maker). So the card is joyful and it makes me happy!

Outlawz CAS Week 4 - Modern Love
It's my last week as Guest Designer on the CAS Challenge at the Outlawz blog - where did the month go? It's been so much fun and I've 'met' lots of new people in this very active community!
This week's challenge blog is to make a card representing something you love. Well, I love a lot of things, but I still had a hard time coming up with an idea for this card.
In the end I decided to go literal and make a "love" card and to use Jason Mraz's "Love is a Four Letter Word" graphic and minimalist design as inspiration (I love that design!). I added part of a Hampton Arts sentiment (and who doesn't love the Beatles?) and ended up with a card that looks like it should be called "Modern Love" (and I LOVE David Bowie). Not bad, if I do say so myself!

Outlawz Week 3 - Pink, Yellow and Green
Week three of my month as Guest Designer for the Outlawz CAS challenge and I'm so pleased with this card for this week's challenge, which is to use pink, green and yellow:
Nothing fancy or clever here - I simply stamped this old Magenta stamp twice, coloured the images with copics and then cut them out using scissors. I went around the edge with my black copic marker so there were no unsightly white edges and then popped them up on dimensionals, and added stickles (they're a little subtler in real life!). I love how the colours seem to just pop right off the page.

Outlawz CAS Week 2 - Happy Birthday
Today is week two in my month as Guest Designer for Outlawz CAS challenges. Today's challenge is to make a clean and simple birthday card.
I love how this simple, simple design turned out to be so Art Deco. I have lost track of who made the clear candle stamp (I think either Stampendous or Inkadinkado). The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly and is the perfect addition to the 'starburst'.
In fact, I loved this card so much, I made a variation, using more black ink and applying the colours in a different way:
I can't decide if I like one better than the other - what about you?

Outlawz CAS Challenge - Guest Designer and LIM66 -Yellow!
BIG NEWS! I've been asked to be May's Guest Designer for the CAS Design Team on the Outlawz Blog. This means that every Sunday in May, one of my cards will be included in the samples for that week's challenge! Is that thrilling or what?
This week, the theme is Travel, including maps, transportation, postmarks and things like that. I volunteer in my daughter's school and when I hear "Transportation", this is what I think of:
This card also qualifies for this week's Less is More challenge - to make a mainly yellow card. I hardly ever do that, I have to admit (except when making my 7 yr old nephew's birthday card - he loves yellow!).
This will be the perfect card for one of the many teachers who are so important to my children. The stamp is an old A Muse stamp (don't you love all those little faces?), the sentiment is Stampin' Up!
I hope to be back later today with some Inspiration Challenge and Featured Stamper Challenge cards, so stay tuned!
