Vitamin Sea (FS652)

Congratulations to this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper, Pam (Bailmac).

I chose this card as my inspiration:

I focused on Pam's:
- layout (plant life in one corner)
-limited colour scheme
-script sentiment
-border treatment

I changed:
-floral in the other corner
-pink to blue
-one border treatment rather than all round

I started by creating the wave border - I used my MISTI to stamp the waves, then move the panel and stamp again, and again. This method gives a precise placement of the waves. I alternated Fiesta Blue and Aquatini.

When I finished stamping, I coated the panel with Moonstone Glimmer Paste and set it aside to dry.

On the main panel, I stamped the plant with Black Jack ink,  masked it and then stamped it again. I coloured the two plants with Copic markers in similar shades to Fiesta Blue and Aquatini. I just flicked the markers from the centre outwards, and left the edges white. To add more sparkle, I coated them with Star Dust Stickles.

I stamped the sentiment with Black Jack ink as well, and then added some of the Big Sur sequins. I popped the main panel up with foam tape.

  2. What a fabulous card Ardyth - loving how you are using that glimmer paste to such great advantage - that background panel is stunning
