Essentials by Ellen - Fun with Words




Sometimes it's fun to play with words and let them take centre stage on your card. The newest Essentials by Ellen release includes lots of goodies that give you so many choices for making 'sentimental' cards!

For this card, I used the Classic Block Alphabet in reverse. I cut out 3 white pierced circles and then cut my letters out from that. I backed them on a black strip for drama and added a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper. Simple, but full of impact!


For this card, I used the tag die from the Parcel Box and cut one of the Block Words out. I coloured the letters and laid them back in. I coloured another tag with the same Copic marker and popped the double-tag up over a gingham background stamped with a bold birthday sentiment from Totally Random Sayings, Volume 2.


For this card, I started with the largest Folk Heart. I stamped Friend in black and then cut 'wonderful' out from the centre. I cut the wonderful again, from clean white cardstock and coloured it with a rainbow of Copic Markers before laying it back into the heart.
