Welcome to Day 1 of the Winterhaven Stamp of Approval Blog Hop! You should have come from Catherine's blog (full blog list below).
If you’re new to Stamp of Approval – click here to check out everything you need to know about this amazing collection of Stamps, Dies and other goodies.
And make sure you are on the wait list so you get access to the collection at 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 10th before the public. These collections almost always sell out, so if you're liking what you're seeing on the blog hop, you'll want to ensure that you have an opportunity to get your hands on this collection!
Christmas cards are my favourite to make - I love making them all year long - they're bright and cheerful and happy! And this collection is absolutely full of wonderful products - like the Ornamental Background stamp that I masked and stamped for this card. I love the retro feel of these ornaments and the whimsy of these bright colours.
Stamps: Ornamental Background, 'Tis the Season
Dies: Scalloped Rectangle (Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval collection)
Inks: Rockin' Red, Tiki Torch, Aquatini, Lime Rickey
For a completely different, more elegant feeling, I also made this:
Stamps: 'Tis the Season
Dies: Wreath of Joy
Inks: Midnight, Rockin' Red, Tutti Frutti
I started by smooshing Rockin' Red and Tutti Frutti onto some watercolour cardstock. Once it was dry, I cut out the 'Joy' die from Wreath of Joy and inlaid it into my popped up sentiment strip. I randomly stamped a branch from 'Tis the Season - I thought about colouring it but I thought it looked so pretty just in black and white. I did emboss it with some sparkly embossing powder for sparkle. I love how the red pops!
Finally, I used some of the sentiments in the Here we Come A-Caroling set to create a Christmas Carol!
I embossed the star and 3 sentiments in white before blending a night sky with Fiesta Blue, Something Borrowed and Black Jack. I used the Winterhaven dies to create my snowline, trees and church with warm, welcoming lights.
Finally, I used some of the sentiments in the Here we Come A-Caroling set to create a Christmas Carol!
Stamps: Here We Come A-Caroling
Dies: WinterHaven
Inks: Fiesta Blue, Something Borrowed, Black Jack
