Ellen Hutson July Mix-it-Up - Awesome!
This is my card for the current Ellen Hutson Mix-It-Up challenge with Neat&Tangled (also Day 4 of #thedailymarker30day colouring challenge).
This flower is so great for experimenting with colour powders - it has big areas where you can really see the variation in colours that these powders create. I stamped it twice and embossed it in white before adding red, orange and yellow powders and smoothing them out with a wet brush. Once it was dry, I added a bit of Pink Zig Clean Colour to some areas. I inlaid the biggest layer into an aqua mat (love how it helps make the pinks really pop!) and popped up the top two layers. The 'Awesome' shadow was cut into the mat and the black word is adhered right on the white card base.
I used:
-Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia and Matching Dies
-Neat& Tangled Awesome Stamps and Dies
-Ken Oliver Colour Burst
-Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins (4mm, 6mm)
