Muse 129 - Thank you
I'm back! Kate and I went away for a few days this week, to visit family and then to visit friends at their cottage. I was without wifi and unable to craft or post or comment. It was a wonderful little break, but I'm happy to be back in time to play along with this week's Muse Challenge, where Anita has provided us with this inspiration:
I focused on Anita's
-colour scheme (greens and blues with black and gold, with lots of white)
I changed the squares to circles, and used the biggest image from an old Papertrey set (Dot Spot) inked up in Caribbean Sea Kaleidecolor ink (not sure if you can buy these anymore) and stamped it off the edge of the panel. I used a big, gorgeous sentiment from Mama Elephant Merci. Rather than scattering gold dots over the card, I 'straightened them up' and used a line of gold nail heads from my stash.
I can see that I've fallen behind on commenting on this week's gallery, but I promise to catch up. What I've seen so far is amazing - you guys are always so creative and I (and the whole Design Team) really love to see what you come up with!
Make sure to join us before the deadline on Monday morning at 8 am. At that time you can vote for your 3 favourites until Tuesday morning at 8. Voting results will be posted on Tuesday at noon. Hope to see you there!

Sounds like you had a great little break. It is nice to go away, but always nicer to come back home!
Glad you had a lovely break and happy you are back and....what a card! I just love how you interpret a card and recreate it to make it so you. I love your ombre circles stamp and that sentiment is yummy. I really must get some nice big sentiments in my stash.ReplyDelete

Spectacular and perfect Muse as every Ardyth.ReplyDelete
Gorgeous colours, image and love the row of nail heads.
This is so pretty. I love that you used a circle stamp for this. I actually have that same Kaildecolor stamp pad and you make me want to dig it out. I love the gold dots lined up at the bottom. Great design.ReplyDelete
Loved Anita's inspiration card and love your take on it. I have a couple of the kaleidcolor ink pads and I had forgotten about them, so will have to get them back out, as they do produce gorgeous colours. Love your layout, love the colours and that you've stamped it off the edge of the card. Love it!ReplyDelete
Beautiful! It seems I've been neglecting Dot Spot. I should pull it out make some man-cards!ReplyDelete
A brilliant stamp to use for the challenge and a good reminder to dig it out. I remember when that was everywhere! :) Love the nailheads too.ReplyDelete
Everything works on this card... I love it!ReplyDelete
