CASology 160 - Number

This week's CASology Cue Card is Number!

I don't know about you, but I'm getting to an age where the numbers are a little too big for my liking! Getting older is definitely better than the alternative, though, isn't it?!

I used MFT's Piece of Cake set to make this card; it has so many fantastic 'getting older' sentiments.  I love the way the candles are 'counting' the birthdays. I created a bit of interest by framing my image with the two parts of my sentiment.

Now it's your turn - what's your number? Be sure to check out the rest of the DT for more inspiration:

  1. Brilliant design Ardyth! Love the way you interpreted the cue! I hope it will be done this week, definitely by October 17th. The renovations on the room--probably not

  2. Fantastic, Ardyth! When the only way to fit candles on the cake is to start sticking them out the sides, I figure it's time to keep quiet about my age. ;)
Love the way you used the candles on your card!!! :)

  8. I just received this stamp set yesterday because of a cute card you made using the sentiments and a dinosaur. This layout is equally cute. Thanks.

  9. Yep...I'll take the bigger numbers any day...much better than the ashes to ashes thing for sure!

Great idea to frame a small-ish image with sentiment banners. It definitely 'increases' the focal point of this cute card!

  19. Uh, yeah...this style card would need 9 sets of those candles...you'd run out of room! I totally agree with you, I'm happy to take every birthday I get, it's definitely better than the alternative! I love the sentiment popped up...adds dimension while keeping things clean and simple! Love this!

  22. Hey Ardyth!! Yes, who is counting, lol!!! Only small kids count. They can't wait to grow up. Then when they are grown they wish they weren't counting, LOL. The cycle starts again!! Great card!
