This week's CASology Cue Card is Pop!
We're being sponsored by Serendipity Stamps this week and this dove is one of their stunning dies. I love the detail in his wings and decided that inlaying the piece back in (after colouring with copics and WoS for sparkle) would be one way that my card would 'pop'. The other is that I framed the dove with a circle cut out of a panel. His tail is glued right down, but his wings and his head are popped up with two layers of foam tape for some dramatic dimension! I finished the card with an old acrylic "Peace". I've lost track of who makes it. It's stamped in Memento Gray Flannel.
Now it's your turn to pop! Can't wait to see what you come up with! The rest of the DT has some inspiration for you as well:

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Ardyth ... a fabulous 'pop' of colour and I love all the dimension! Bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteLove this fantastic dove die and the way you have inlaid some color.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so behind with my visits and commenting on all your recent brilliant cards, Ardy! I have seen them and love them! Congratulations to Struan on getting his permit and Happy Belated Birthday! Your dove rendition here is stunning! I love that die, too, especially how you have positioned it for extra drama!! Enjoy your day!! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteVery clever and very, very BEAUTIFUL, Ardyth! I love the 'pop' of blue and how you used the inlaid technique for this gorgeous dove! Really stunning card, as always!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the pop of blue in the wings and the way the dove pops up from the circle...very clever!
ReplyDeleteStunning in its simplicity with that gorgeous pop of colour!
ReplyDeleteAwesome take on the Cue Ardyth!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Ardyth. Looks like the dove is flying right off the card.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love this card Ardyth! I love that dove die too, it is amazing looking. I love how you made it pop by coloring in the pieces to his wings. I also love the pop by popping up everything but his tail, that really makes him pop. Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a seriously striking and stunning card!! Just beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteElegant. Last year Darnell made a card using this die and it is not only beautiful but could use the image for many occasions.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Ardyth! Perfectly serene.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dove...love that blue added in it's wings, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA CAS (and somewhat graphic) beauty! Love the sentiment tucked into the bottom corner!
ReplyDeleteI really love the way the wings just pop out at you. That color certainly makes it!
ReplyDeleteThis pops alright! I have just bought this die too, and I LOVE what you've done with it! This one's going straight to my CASE file also!
ReplyDeleteHey Ardyth!! I love your pop of color in the dove's wings. Nicely done.
