This week's CASology Cue Card is Shine!
One of the shiniest supplies I have is mirror card. I used the smaller of the two petal dies from Papertrey and simply inlaid the petals into the white panel. Keeping it small allows for lots of white space, making your card feel very clean. I used a light, airy sentiment to help with the clean feeling.
I ended up creating another card so that I could also use the negative part of the mirror card. I simply cut around it with a circle nestability and then inlaid the whole thing into a popped up white panel.
Now it's your turn - let's all be magpies this week - get your shine on! Before you do, make sure you stop by the blogs of the other DT members for more inspiration.

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love both your cards.
ReplyDeletelove them both.
ReplyDeleteLove these. So great Ardyth and clever to use both negative and positive pieces. Don't know how you create a wonderful cards every time. Surely you must have a card or two that hits the wastepaper basket?? Probably not.
ReplyDeleteYet another stunner from your desk. I really like the mirror paper. Its shiny like anything!
ReplyDeleteArdyth these are fantastic, I love the shiny flower petals both ways.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards, Ardyth! I love the shine from the mirrored cardstock, and of course your beautiful CAS designs...so pretty! Loving how you used the negative space on the 2nd card, too!
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous, Ardyth. That shiny paper works so well. And the large sentiment is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The mirror card is a perfect choice for this challenge. Both of these cards are just stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these--how fun to use mirror paper and make cards that are mirror images of each other. I love to see another person who can not let part of a die cut go to waste.
ReplyDeleteMirror paper; mirror images - how cool are these cards! Yet another 'reflection' (sorry..had to...) of your amazing talent!

ReplyDeleteThe first is beautiful! But the second is a great idea! (those bits end up in the bin here most of the time...) Hugs, Gerrina
