Holiday Inspirations Group - Halloween Day 7, OLW 161


Wow! It's day 7 already - a whirlwind week of Halloween inspiration!



Today, I decided to combine with this week's One Layer Wednesday challenge, hosted by Cheryl. Fall Colours. These are probably not the exact colours she meant, but they are definitely fall colours!

I chose the same menacing eyes from this card from Day 2 and cut them using my silhouette. I lined the card with neon orange (which actually raises an interesting question about whether this is truly a one-layered card, doesn't it!?!) so that the eyes would be 'lit' from inside.

    So, you really didn't do anything to the eyes? It honestly looks like there is a light shining either from below or above. HOLY KAMOLY girl, this is an incredible effect!

    WOW! I don't even know where to start. I went all the way back to where I left off and now I need a lie down. You have been a whirlwind of creativity in only one week, my friend!! Your 7 days of Halloween are sensational and this one is my fave!! I think the purists would say it's not OLW, but it's about as CAS as I've ever seen - which I love!

    Have you had your Silhouette for a while? I don't remember due to CRS! You should start a Silhouette only challenge, they sure are popular. It's hard to compete against the designs it can do, they are always stunning!

    I like just the eyes ... it seems a tad menacing that way! I have the sidelights of my door decorated in eyes lit from behind. Your card looks just like a jack-o-lantern at night. Love how you don't have black eyes with an orange front, as is typical!!
