OLW147 - Christmas Sparklers!

My, that Susan (this week's OLW host) has a way with words, doesn't she? Christmas Sparklers. The perfect challenge for this time of year, to kick start your Christmas cards (ah, but you've all been playing along with me at Festive Friday, right? So you're right on top of your Christmas cards, right? Never mind, there's a new challenge starting tomorrow!) And the perfect nod (with the word 'sparklers') to this patriotic, fireworks time of year! (Happy 4th!)

This silver 'joy' is so sparkly in real life (same silver ep as I used in my fireworks card here). But real life is getting in the way of both cardmaking and photography this week. My daughter is out of school but not leaving for camp until Sunday, so we're having lots of fun this week together, outside the house. Away from my craft room.

I knew that the silver tinsel ep would probably not show up as nicely on white as it did on the navy earlier this week, so I masked a strip in the middle and sponged it with Festive Berries distress ink, to increase the contrast. The JOY is from a Limited Edition Clear and Simple Stamps set I got earlier this year.
