CFC104 - Finished!

I actually made this for this week's Less Is More challenge (Need for Speed) as well as CASual Fridays' Banners & Flags, but I was obviously too speedy in making this card, because I belatedly realized that Need for Speed is a One Layer challenge.  So I'll have to come up with another card for that one. But it still works for CASual Fridays. (this is how combining challenges often goes for me! lol!)

CFC104

I used checkered flags, to signify the finish line of a race. I thought this could be a quirky end of school or graduation card. I have two matching 'typewriter'-type alphabets - I labeled the larger one is Hero Arts, although I can find no evidence of it ever having existed. And the smaller one is either Stampendous or Inkadinkado. The checkered background is from Waltzingmouse Stamps and I adhered them only at the top to take advantage of the warping that occurred when I heat embossed them. (sometimes, you just have to go with the flow. Or warp. Or whatever happens!)

Today, we're off to my parents' house to have family photos taken to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. 16 people involved and then dinner afterwards - should be interesting!

  4. Fabulous idea, Ardyth ... love the drama! I was just admiring how the flags are wafting in the breeze and wondering how you did it and then read on ... so warping can sometimes be good (or totally great in this case)! Anita :)
