Oh my! I came home from the spa on Saturday afternoon, all waxed and buffed and ZEN. Then I panicked that I didn't have a card for today. I spent a bit of time looking through blogland, and saw that this week's Less Is More challenge is to use beads. What?! Beads?! I figured I would skip this week.
But then as I sat down and thought about the current challenges, I remembered Festive Friday's Merry and CASual Friday's No Stamps challenges and I happened on some alphabet beads on my daughter's desk. And the rest, as they say, is history!
And now, I just have to build a box to put this in for mailing! lol!
Look what we made for dinner last night - home-made cheese ravioli (before cooking)! (a bit of a fuss to make but so yummy with fresh marinara sauce!)
ETA (April 6) - look what this card got!
Oh my indeed, I was wondering how you were going to 'Ardyth' the beads challenge at LIM and then got up to find this delicious wreath ... vibrant and crisp and gorgeous! Many many congratulations on your LIM Showcase Shoutout too ... hoorah! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow Ardyth, you have totally nailed this one I can see a few wins with this card, love it.
ReplyDeleteYes... Yes... Very inspiring! AND the LIM Showcase stripes and dots - you ROCKED it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Great inspiration thanks Ardyth :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gillian!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome take on the challenges!
Terrific way to use the alphabet beads on your awesome wreath card! :)
ReplyDeleteForgot to add ... perhaps if you have an empty stamp box (such as from Papertrey Ink stamps) you could put it in there and then into a bubble pack envelope? :)
ReplyDeleteWow! What an amazing way to use beads. This is so clever!!
ReplyDeleteJust love the way you made this theme! Good luck with making the box!

Another amazing creation Ardyth! Very creative to use those letter beads.
ReplyDeleteYour ravioli looks scrumptious, can I come over the next time you make some? haha
Thank you always for your sweet comments on my blog, I was missing you but, now I know why. :)
That's a great way to use those beads to send greetings - even if it will cost an arm and a leg to send through the mail! :) Please pass the ravioli - yes please! :P
ReplyDeleteFirst, so glad you didn't skip today ... this card turned out so well! The two bows on either side make a great word spacer and design element for the wreath. Thanks for coming back to the CASual Friday's Challenge!
ReplyDeleteAnd, fun to see the ravioli's you all made! Last month we went to Great Grandma's and she taught us how to make meat ravioli. Well, we did one tray of raviolis and the rest were tortellinis. It took all day! Boy do you appreciate every mouthful after all that work : )
I am due for a spa day - YES PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteThis is SO gorgeous - I love how bold and striking the beads make this, and the way you made them into a bit of a wreath. Awesome!!
This one's got 'winner' written all over it.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this idea! The beads are absolutely perfect and definitely make me think "merry"!! Great job Ardyth! :0)
