One of the great things about cardmaking is that even the non-stampers can get involved! My girlfriend brought me this label from a bottle of wine, thinking that it would be great inspiration for a card. She was absolutely right!
I used the solid tree from "Season of Friendship", embossed in gold. I cut the panel so that all the branches would reach an edge, leaving me a spot to colour with copics. You just have be carefu not to colour over the embossingl, because copic ink has alcohol in it and will take the shine off!
Two beautiful cards, Ardyth. Sue x
ReplyDeleteStunning!!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful and what a great inspiration piece.
ReplyDeleteYour girlfriend has a good eye - this is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I had a girlfriend like her. Incredible Ardyth, your design and finished card are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the graphic stained-glass look of your card (better than the wine label inspiration).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Love the stained glass look
ReplyDeleteYour card has a stained glass feel to it again, Ardyth! SO beautiful and a nail on that cool inspiration label!
ReplyDelete(I'm jealous that you have a room that allows you to move the furniture. My house doesn't and it's something that I used to love doing back in the Days Before the Wheel when we lived in apartments. You feel like you've moved w/o all the trouble! But, yes, it does uncover spots that haven't seen a clean in a while!)
What a fab wine bottle label. Looks great on the first card. Your rendering from the inspiration is fantastic, Ardyth. :)
ReplyDeleteHello, stunning!! The concept and colors work so well together. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh my colorful goodness! This is absolutely stunning! Your talent for creating from an inspirational piece is second to none is this crafting world of ours!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that if the winery saw your label, their label would be off the bottle and out the door in a second!
Love this design and your use of colour!
