Do you know my friend Darnell? I'm sure most of you do - she is both a wonderful contributor and a supporter of this little community we have. Darnell was one of my first followers and she left me my very first comment, almost a year ago, and since then has given me tremendous encouragement, inspiration and laughs!
Today is Darnell and Mister's (his real name is Kevin, did you know?) wedding anniversary, and in honour of that, Darnell and I wanted to start a really fun 'challenge' - we're posting wedding photos! How fun is that!
ETA: The whole idea is that we get to know each other better, AND it's all about the love. So feel free to link up photos of your early days together if you don't have any wedding photos, or if you never got married, no matter who your partner is. It's not about judging, it's not about who had the prettiest dress, it's about the LOVE!
Here's me and my Mister (Michael) back in 1997.
So get busy and make an anniversary card or dig out your wedding photos and link up to the "Anniversary Fun" linky below! Join us in making this a very special day for Darnell and Kevin!
A really fun sounding challenge.

And I need to know how you have managed not to change since your lovely photos were taken!! You look exactly the same. Beautiful bride and a handsome hubby too! Blessings - Bev
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea, Ardyth! Conveniently, I don't have a scanned photo to hand just yet, but I may be back! I love your photos - but you'll have to tell us - what height are you both?
ReplyDeleteYour idea is a huge success, Ardyth! Loving the pic of you and your Mister and your card is adorable. Love how you broke up the word the way Darnell always breaks up hers in her posts. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is turning out to be a fun celebration for Darnell and her hubster! Thanks for the great idea and including me! I love your card with the big lettering and bold colors! Perfect! And your wedding photo is great! I love your pretty dress and your hubby looks very spiffy in his traditional Scottish kilt!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so fun, and I am so glad I was included in the party. It also forced me to pull out my wedding album, which I don't look at nearly as much as I should. I love your card for Darnell, and your wedding picture is awesome. How fun to marry a Scotsman in full dress kilt. The world can see that he has nice legs!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and lovely card. Happy Anniversary Darnell and Kevin.
ReplyDeleteI see you and your hubby also celebrate with a Scottish theme :)
xx

ReplyDeleteHi Ardyth, happy to do this for Darnell - she's a real fun girl. Are you just tiny or is your husband extremely tall? He looks great in full highland dress. Elizabeth :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so thoughtful, Ardyth, to set this up for Darnell. And how fun to see everyone's wedding photos too. LOVED seeing yours ... you haven't changed! Oh, and did you know your husband is a lot taller than you!?! : ) Love the colors you picked for your card, so bold and fun, just like a successful marriage!
ReplyDeleteSo sad I don't have a wedding picture on my laptop and am far away from home. Would have loved to post one. I think the love and sharing in this crazy blogging world is the best. Kudos to you for setting this up.

I see it is 42 not 47 so just 5 years behind.

Hi Ardyth, what a lovely picture of you and your hubby. I have sent Darnell and Kevin a card separately but your card is beautiful. I wish I could link up but our main computer has died, along with all our photos, but I am with you all in spirit. Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteHi Ardyth, thanks for starting this really fun idea! Quite a lot of us are signing up and I am sure there will be a huge party at the end!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the word "Mask" being made of all your initials, and what a lovely Valentine card you made.
Love the photos - how cool is that, marrying a man in the kilt! My uncle always used to turn up at all the family weddings wearing his. So special! And your dress is just gorgeous.
Off to look at everyone's photos! Thanks for a brilliant idea.
