25 Days of Christmas Tags

I have tag-phobia. Yes, it's real. I don't know what it is, but the idea of making a tag always freaks me out.

I made this for Day 6 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. The things we'll do for our friends, right? lol!

I've been dying to get this new dove out and play and I put together a tag that I was actually happy with. Then my daughter said that it looks just like the Twitter logo. No wonder it felt so comfortable! The blue background is blended distress inks with water spritzed on it and then sprayed with Tsukineko shimmer spray. I added a border of Stardust Stickles to the white dove and 'under-layer' and a line of Silver Stickles to the bottom of the tag.

MCV69 - Joy

I had some fun making my card for this week's Muse: ChristmasVisions, where Kimberly has given us a classic, masculine Christmas card:

I focused on Kimberly's
-colours
-joy theme
-deer element

I used more whimsical products and tilted my sentiment for some fun

Muse 190 - Thank You

Here's my card for this week's Muse, where we have a Guest designer, Estelle. Here's her inspiration:

I focused on Estelle's:
-colours
-3 leaf images in a row
-overlapping colour
-grateful theme

I was also inspired by a technique in Debby Hughes' video and cards where she masked her images and sponged colour around them.

Rather than creating 3 separate boxes of colour, I wanted them to blend, to represent the way Estelle has overlapped her die cut leaves.

Hello! It's a new month and a new Mix it Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs! Here's the inspiration:

This week, I combined the two. But where's the coffee, you ask. No coffee. Just a focal point using the same colours (cream bird, reddish phone, brown branch) as the coffee, leaf and cinnamon stick.

CASology 222 - Welcome

This week's CASology Cue Card is Welcome!

I decided to make my sentiment also act as my focal point. I used two alphabets to create a sentiment with lots of colour and contrasting fonts for interest.

For 'welcome', I started stamping in the centre of the panel and worked my way out. I still had to trim it a bit to even it up. For 'baby', I started with the y and worked my way backwards.
