Essentials by Ellen October Release Blog Hop

Good morning! It's time for the Ellen Hutson release Blog Hop (hop details below!)

This release is huge - there are so many fun new goodies, it was hard to decide what to make for today! I hope you've seen all the cards I've made for the sneak peeks over the last 12 days - they're all on my Instagram grid!

I started with my 4.25x5.5 inch card base. I masked off 1/2 inch on each side, and blended Catherine Pooler Sauna ink into the centre. I stamped some 'sparkles' from Santa's List and then I spritzed it with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray (such a beautiful, subtle sparkle).

I cut a Gingerbread Boy from white cardstock and inked both sides of him with Over Coffee and then Mandarin Spice ink to get a perfect cookie-colour!

I also cut the milk bottle from 12 Days of Christmas and blended It's A Boy ink on the edges to create some dimension. I added the cutout to the centre to look like eggnog, and I stamped "Eggnog" from last year's Retro Holiday Greetings with Samba ink, to match the lid.

Then I carefully scored his arms so that he could hold onto his eggnog (that's why I coloured both sides of the gingerbread).

Finally I stamped the sentiment (also from Retro Holiday Greetings) with Versafine Onyx ink, and added some more sparkle with Diamond Stickles on the stamped stars.
