Good morning! Today I have a (almost) flat card that uses layered masking to create a multi-layered look.
I started by creating masks for the 3 Stitched Poinsettia dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I laid the negative mask for the largest poinsettia on a panel of white cardstock and then put the small one down in the centre of the open space, and finally the medium one over top of the small one (don't worry, there's a video!).
I blended Rouge ink through the stencil, and then removed the medium mask and blended Samba ink. Then I removed the smallest mask to reveal the white poinsettia underneath.
Then I used the postivie mask for the largest poinsettia, and ink blended some leaves around one side of the flower.
I used the sentiment from the Winter Wreath set and then backed the panel onto a gray card base.
I added Marigold jewels for my flower centre.
Here's a video:
So pretty and modern-looking! I like the gray frame around the pretty poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm impressed. I'm impressed by the clever and cool design and your exact positioning. Red and green don't mix well, but you made it.
ReplyDeleteClarification: I meant that red and green don't mix well if they overlap, but they are wonderful next to eacy other, especially on Christmas cards.
