It's that time of year again! No, not Thanksgiving, not even Christmas.
November is the month where we have birthdays for 4 nephews and a niece (one nephew is actually early December, but it makes sense to make his card now, right?).
Our nephews range from 11-13 years old (including a set of twins) and the niece is turning 19. This situation calls for a versatile, simple, and yet still fun design.
Tonic Studios to the rescue! A mix of specialty papers and confetti, and even a set of pre-cut note cards and envelopes made this big job go really quickly.
I used a fun MFT Birthday Cake die and I quickly created 5 same-but-different designs. I created little shakers for most, using some of the Nuvo Confetti options.
Let's take a closer look:
Nephew 1: This one uses shimmery paper from the December Skies 6x6 paper pack, along with Fiery Phoenix Circles confetti.
Nephew 2: Silver textured paper from December Skies, Mermaid Parade Star confetti
Nephew 3: A reverse of the previous one (although the 'grain' of the silver paper is vertical here, horizontal above), with the Red Phoenix Circles.
Nephew 4: No shaker on this one - I felt that the Ruby Gemstone Specialty paper was enough on its own. It's so fun!!
Finally, Niece 1: Turquoise Lake Glitter card and Sunset Yellow Butterflies confetti.
What great cards, Ardyth! Love them all! They all have pizzazz and are really fun for all ages. While all of the birthdays for this year have gone by, I'm keeping this inspiration for 2020 when I seem to get them all at once :) Thanks again for some wonderful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteA great design with some awesome variations Ardyth - well done!
