FS597 - Happy Birthday


Congratulations to this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper, Selma! I chose this card as my inspiration:


I focused on Selma's:
-daises
-blue & white polka dots
-white frame

I changed:
-size & layout
-added a shaker element
-no leaves

I made a this card a while ago, and Bunny and Jillian at A Jillian Vance Design liked it so much, they created a coverplate based on my design! Isn't that cool? I got it in the mail last week and knew as soon as I saw Selma's card what I would do with it.

I thought it would be a fun play on the polka dots to make a shaker with blue sequins. The sequins I used were from my stash and no longer available, I've linked to some that are availabe.

    I remember that original card, and love the coverplate that it inspired!! This card is one of my favourites!
