Completely out of my comfort zone here, folks! This card is for the current Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge:
I love the rich colours so I focused on that little mosaic looking piece and tried to recreate it with a snowflake stamp and some watercolours.
I started by stamping and embossing the snowflake in a pattern that would leave me some white space for my sentiment (and my sanity!). I then just put down watercolours, overlapping and blending them.
I used:
Oh my word! This is fabulous. I would say this is totally IN your comfort zone as it's just lovely, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Ardyth! I loved your sneak peek on IG and your reveal is incredible! Beautiful watercoloring and the gold makes everything POP! Love that you added random flecks too - such an organic and structured card (if that makes sense?!). :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic card!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the loose watercoloring is out of your comfort zone, Ardyth, but creativity surely isn't. I keep saying I don't have enough EE stamps to enter their challenge but I do have that snowflake. I never thought to use it for a background. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove what you have done here. The colours blend together so well. This could be modified to any occasion. Will definitely be pinning this one for future use. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous card, I love the watercolor coloring. And good job sticking to the challenge.
ReplyDeleteArdyth, this is fabulous! I love your take on the mosaic in the inspiration piece. I just couldn't think of anything, but this is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWell done Ardyth - this is fabulous!! I had to smile at your need for white space 'for your sanity'.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
