A very clean and simple one-layer card for my nephew's 12th birthday yesterday (such a difficult age to make a card for!) and for this week's Muse, where we are inspired by Tracey's card here:
I focused on Tracey's:
-yellow background
-distress ink technique (although mine is different)
-masculine theme
-bold black sentiment
Yellow is my nephew's favourite colour, so I focused on that. I masked a portion of my card and blended various yellow distress inks dark to light. I then stamped the sentiment and added the balloons with stickles for some sparkle.
I used:
-Retired MFT Sentiment
Oh I love the ombré you created for your background. I think a perfect card for a 12 year old.
ReplyDeleteStunning card Ardyth - yes twelve year old and early teen guys are hard to design for!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful ombre effect with your inks, Ardyth! I love the bold alphas and sparkly balloons, too...Perfect for a 12 yr old boy :) Of course I would love to vote for this card, but since I cannot, I wanted to let you know how much I love it! Fabulous take on Tracey's Muse card!
