This card is for this week's Muse Challenge and was inspired by Tracey's masculine card:
I focused on Tracey's:
-layout (popped up panel with left side exposed)
-colours
My son is turning 18 soon so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a card for him. My plan was to use '18' where I have Happy Birthday, but it turns out I don't have the right stamps or dies for that. I did however, have this 'eighteen' that works quite well in place of the stripes on the left.
I used:
-Stampin Up Need for Speed
-Stampin Up Age Awareness
-Stampin Up Milestone Moments
Playing catch up after time away from commenting. My hubby had eye surgery and took some time off.
ReplyDeleteI took a stroll back through your cards and everything is fantastic...as I knew they would be!! Your CTS card is gorgeous. The flowers are colored to perfection!!
18!!!! Seriously? Wow - time sure does fly!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool card! I love the 'eighteen' border!
Happy Birthday wishes to Struan!
Really neat idea with the sentiment...another technique I will try very soon!
ReplyDeleteVery cool and perfectly personalized for that upcoming birthday... unless he thinks it means he's getting a car?
ReplyDeleteLove this card Ardyth!
ReplyDeleteWow, 18?! Time flies. Cool card that I'm sure your son will love.
ReplyDeleteGreat card for your son, Ardyth. I like the EIGHTEEN border on the side :)
ReplyDeleteTime sure does fly by...18 already? Stunning take on Tracey's card, Ardyth! The masculine images are perfect for his age and I love that you chose the word eighteen in that fabulous font...very clever!
ReplyDeletePerfect card for an 18th birthday. I like the stamped "eighteen" along the side better than the stripes on the inspiration card.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card!
