MM234, MCV77 - Christmas Joy

I made a couple of cards for the current Muse: ChristmasVisions challenge where Chriss has given us this elegant inspiration:

Despite their different looks, in both my cards I focused on:
-Joy theme
-red poinsettias
-gold accents

For the first card, I used:
-Essentials by Ellen Mondo Poinsettia
-Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words
-Colorburst Powders

I inlaid the poinsettias into a white panel before cutting it with an Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle die. I added Gold Tinsel stickles to the flower centres.

For the second card, I used:
-Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words
-Paper Smooches Poinsettia

I inlaid all 3 dies. I started with the large poinsettia, inlaid the red into the white panel before cutting out joy and then inlaying the black joy. I left the centre of the 'o' out and popped up the whole panel.

I am linking the second card up to this week's Merry Monday Challenge, to make a CAS Christmas card.

  1. Fabulous water colouring on the first card and like how you've cut into the flower and boy does the JOY sentiment pop against your beautiful background. CAS perfection on the second. Glorious inspiration...Thank you x

  3. Love how you created two similar but totally different cards using the same inspiration. I'm always in awe with how you can break down any design to the bare CAS essentials.

  4. Oh my goodness, Ardyth, those Colorburst poinsettias are so so gorgeous. I love how you left part of the white background out in the corners. It is so different from the second card which is more like what I'm used to seeing from you. You have a wide range of creativity.

  5. Echoing the others: your colourburst poinsettias are stunning, especially paired with the gold embossing! WOW! Your second is equally as lovely: dramatic and bold!
