Pinterest Inspired

This card looks like it was made for Monday's Papertrey blog hop (my card and the inspiration photo here). But I actually made it on the weekend, inspired by this card on my Inspiration board on Pinterest, using a recent Stampin' Up set.

Challenges are wonderful things - over the years I have 'met' many people and made many cards I would not have otherwise made. But I find every once in a while it's good to forget the challenges and just make something I like. Just for fun. This is one of those. And here's another:

This time I was inspired by this photo on my inspiration board. Back in my other life, I spent some time working with designers, developing a new 'visual identity' (aka logo) for the life insurance company I worked for. I got to know a little about the Pantone colour system, and I love the simple (yet still cool) design of their colour 'chips'. I masked a strip of white before sponging a panel in Picked Raspberry. I cut it using a PTI journaling card die and then stamped a Simon sentiment and a tiny heart.

  3. Both cards are amazing Ardyth! I love the colors of both and both are striking CAS cards. It is fun to make whatever you want to make once in a while. Challenges are fun, but sometimes we just need not have any "rules" to follow. Hugs, Brenda
