MM149 - The Savior is Born

Here's my card for this week's Merry Monday challenge, monochromatic blue.

I'm excited about this one! Once again, I took my inspiration from this card by Diana. I love how she made her sponged areas look like ribbon.

I created arc masks in post-it paper and then sponged in Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.  I finished with a CSS nativity and sentiment (too bad Saviour is spelled incorrectly for us here in Canada! lol!). Not sure where my star came from - I really wanted to cut out a MB star, but they're still on my wish list!

(PS, you'll love the irony of this - the top panel is popped up with 4 previous attempts of the masking, cut down to 3.5" squares)

  3. This is just stunning Ardyth! Your blending of the blues is done so beautifully and I just love the way you made it resemble a ribbon! Just out of curiosity, how do the Canadians spell Savior?

  7. Every time you post a card, I have to sit back and sigh. This is just wonderful. If it doesn't sound too weird, can I just say that it has the look of God's grace coming down from heaven?. That's the best way I can articulate what feeling this card evokes. I. Love. This. True story. Also, missing you! Bev
