This week's CASology Cue Card is Sea!
And that there, my friends is a scallop! I know, sometimes I'm so funny!! I just wanted to show that it's fun to think outside the cue card sometimes!
I reinforced my 'sea' message by choosing Hawaiian Shores as my main colour. And the opposite side of the scallop is a wave. Big blocks of solid colour always look clean and a little white doesn't hurt either. I added a bit of sparkle by cutting some tiny sparkly dots with a Memory Box background/border die. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Stamps - delicate and feminine!
Now it's your turn - but before you go, make sure to check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT members:
and this week's Guest Designer: Kate

ReplyDeletelol I have a scallop stamp I've been waiting to use for a "scalloped" border. Beautiful card!

ReplyDeleteFabulous card- Ardyth. Very thoughtful, with the wave, scallops (makes me think of dinner) and the Hawaiian shores card stock.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I saw the "waves" but totally missed the "scallops" So clever! And I love the font on that sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jen...I thought it was waves, but "scallop?" Ha! Awesome! Great colors, too...perfect!

I've seen the Caribbean this color. *Sigh* LOVE this color, and love the simplicity of your card! We need a craft house on the sea, don't we?! Especially come February, lol! Great card. Really, really like this one! Have a great week sweet friend. Bev
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I thought scallops as soon as I saw this, Ardyth ... wonder what that says about both our brains?! LOVE that stunning lagoon blue ... so beautiful ... and so clever (of course!) Anita :)
ReplyDeleteJust perfect Ardyth...I love the scallops and your sweet little sentiment too. And that color, perfect like your card!
ReplyDelete[do I admit that I didn't get the "scallops" until I read the comments ... it could just be because it's after 2 in the morning, not because I'm particularly slow ... yeah, just comment on the card, Kelly.]
ReplyDeleteArdyth, love your card, and if I received it I would be looking for the matching box with hopefully a matching sparkly object inside!
Ha ha! A scallop! Very good :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in it's simplicity.
