This week's CASology Cue Card is Run!
Run is not my favourite word in the world - I walk quickly (a lot!) but I only run if someone's chasing me! Still, it's an interesting cue card and will inspire a lot of amazing creations, I'm sure. I went back to an old favourite - an image from Bareback from Stampin' Up. To take it up a notch from plain black and white, I stamped the horses using Royal Satin Kaleidecolor Ink. This adds a subtle punch of colour and some interest. I didn't 'frame' the horses - leaving the ends white so that there is no limit to how far they can run!
Now it's your turn. Before you go, make sure you check out the blogs of the rest of the DT members for more inspiration!

I love the flow and movement of the colored horses. The panel looks terrific with the black mat.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sheila. Love the movement. The subtle black lines are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Love your take on the cue card!
ReplyDeleteA CAS masterpiece, Ardyth! I love the gradation of colors and how you added a black border above and below your images! These horses are truly stunning, too!
ReplyDeleteThose horses really exemplify the word "run". I love the gradient color.
ReplyDeleteFantastic image for run, and I love how you inked those horses. I like the symbolism of there being no border in front or behind those horses.
ReplyDeleteI just love the colours on this, almost moving like the horses.,just stunning x
ReplyDeleteI love the use of colour and the simplicity of the design. This is just a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteStunning, I love this card
ReplyDeleteWe are obviously NON-running sisters! ;) I love how the varied colour adds to the feeling of movement here. Must try one of the Kaleidecolor pads!
ReplyDeleteThis is a PUNCH of interest, WOW, so stunning, LOVE this one, a FAVE of mine!!!!!!!!!These images are lovely in these colors.
ReplyDeleteYou are just so smart! They did look like they were in a hurry to get somewhere, but it didn't click with me that it was because you had them on a horizontally outlined strip. Now that's some good designin'!
ReplyDeleteWow, love this Ardyth!! I would have had a hard time with "run". lol Love the horses stamped in those colors and I love that black edging on the mat. I also love that you gave the horse free reign to run as far as they can. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see this horsestamp in different colours! The only problem I have is that I had the same stamp in my head as soon as I saw the que-word... :) Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteArdyth, this is brilliant! The colors are beautiful, and the open ends do give a feeling of freedom to run!
ReplyDeleteThe sense of movement here is fantastic, Ardyth ... the colours (warm red to cooler bleu and green), the lovely galloping horses and how you've left the panel open ended ... brilliant! Anita :)
