CFC129 - Shades of Gray

This is my second post for today. For my Festive Friday post, please scroll down!

Today's the day of my first CAS-ual Fridays challenge as a Girl Friday!

Now that you've met everyone, you can understand why I'm so excited to be part of this amazing DT!

The challenge is to use at least two shades of grey. (BTW - do you spell it gray or grey? Is it a preference thing? A country thing? I've always spelled it grey, but I seem to be in a minority! lol!)

I used Sands of Time and my warm grey Copic markers to create this paint-chip card. I love the handwritten font of the 'every' and 'always' - so flirty and casual!

Remember this challenge is now 3 weeks long - lots of time to come up with lots of ideas! The deadline for this challenge is March 21 and you can play as many times as you like!

The winner gets a fun-filled guest spot on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog, and a prize from our Super Sponsor:

  2. This is super stunning, love the way you used the sentiments !! Ardyth u r amazing :)
When I was a child color grey was spelled as grey and the gray was the gray matter in the brain ;)
However, I think the new grey is gray, my dictionary needs to be updated lol :)

  7. CAS perfection Ardyth - you are the master of design & balance! The gray/grey thing is American English vs. Commonwealth countries from what I can figure out.

  11. I always used grey, then spell checkers kept wanting gray.

Love this card. It is fantastic design, so wonderfully masculine and sentimental at the same time. My hubs would love it.

  15. Wonderful card, what a clever way to use the seconds, minutes etc. no one could say it better. Grey is how we spell it in Australia and I think England. Gray we always think of as the American spelling. Like we say colour and you say color

  16. Oh my goodness Ardyth I love everything about your card! Fabulous embossing and 50 I mean 5 shades of gray! I have always spelled it grey! Ardyth it is another Canadian/American thing--UK spells it grey and American's spell it gray! color/colour favorite/favourite--how do you handle this when commenting on blog posts?

  20. Fabulous card, Ardyth! I love the ombré panels with the silver embossing. And it's definitely a Commonwealth/US split with the spellings.

  27. Congrats! Apparently I'm waaaaay behind on my reading!

I prefer "grey", too. Seems to suit the color better. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Or maybe that's the British spelling? Not sure.
