This is my second post for today. For my Festive Friday post, please scroll down!
Today's the day of my first CAS-ual Fridays challenge as a Girl Friday!
Now that you've met everyone, you can understand why I'm so excited to be part of this amazing DT!
The challenge is to use at least two shades of grey. (BTW - do you spell it gray or grey? Is it a preference thing? A country thing? I've always spelled it grey, but I seem to be in a minority! lol!)
I used Sands of Time and my warm grey Copic markers to create this paint-chip card. I love the handwritten font of the 'every' and 'always' - so flirty and casual!
Remember this challenge is now 3 weeks long - lots of time to come up with lots of ideas! The deadline for this challenge is March 21 and you can play as many times as you like!
The winner gets a fun-filled guest spot on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog, and a prize from our Super Sponsor:
This is a brilliant design Ardyth!
ReplyDelete... and that's why you're on this fab team!
Thanks for the inspiration!
This is super stunning, love the way you used the sentiments !! Ardyth u r amazing :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child color grey was spelled as grey and the gray was the gray matter in the brain ;)
However, I think the new grey is gray, my dictionary needs to be updated lol :)
This is one of my absolute favorite type of card. Clean and to the point. Expertly done.
ReplyDeleteSWOON! I can't say how much I love this, Ardyth! You make the simple sentiments into a HUGE statement! This is absolutely brilliant! Way to rock your first DT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteGrey is British English, gray is the American English version - just pick your favourite :O)
Great to see your first card as a Girl Friday! And a perfect beautiful one! Great layout! Have a fun weekend, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection Ardyth - you are the master of design & balance! The gray/grey thing is American English vs. Commonwealth countries from what I can figure out.
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection, Ardyth! Love this so much!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one "gray"t card (as in great!...sorry, couldn't resist!)
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea, and awesome sentiment stamps!
Outstanding Girl Friday debut!
Great sentiments on your shades of gray Ardyth! spelling seems to be random choice?! dictionary has both as versions of each other!
ReplyDeleteI always used grey, then spell checkers kept wanting gray.
ReplyDeleteLove this card. It is fantastic design, so wonderfully masculine and sentimental at the same time. My hubs would love it.
Love the graphic greys/grays. I use them interchangeably.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous. I was wondering where you got all those different grey papers. Of course, you made them. Easy to see why you are a girl Friday with this beautiful creation.
ReplyDeleteThis is simply awesome and such an "Ardyth" card! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card, what a clever way to use the seconds, minutes etc. no one could say it better. Grey is how we spell it in Australia and I think England. Gray we always think of as the American spelling. Like we say colour and you say color
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Ardyth I love everything about your card! Fabulous embossing and 50 I mean 5 shades of gray! I have always spelled it grey! Ardyth it is another Canadian/American thing--UK spells it grey and American's spell it gray! color/colour favorite/favourite--how do you handle this when commenting on blog posts?
ReplyDeleteI love this Arydth ..... what a clever way of using the words. xx
ReplyDeleteJaw droppingly stunning, Ardyth ... so cool and sophisticated with just a smidge of playful added for good measure ... WOW! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSophisticated, cool, brilliant. LOVE this!!

Fabulous card, Ardyth! I love the ombré panels with the silver embossing. And it's definitely a Commonwealth/US split with the spellings.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is super wonderful! Love that you created your panels with Copics greys and the white fonts are so crisply stamped. In awe with this card and your style! Can hardly wait to create.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Awesome layout!
ReplyDeleteLove the card...you've stamped and placed those sentiments perfectly! I spell it gray, but always think about it!
ReplyDeleteawesome card!

This is a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteI love your card, it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Apparently I'm waaaaay behind on my reading!
ReplyDeleteI prefer "grey", too. Seems to suit the color better. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Or maybe that's the British spelling? Not sure.
