CASE Study 174 - Thank you!
This month's Guest at CASE Study is one of my all time favourite cardmakers - Donna Mikasa. Her cards make it in into my Pinterest Inspiration board A LOT! Here's this week's Inspiration card:
I focused on the sponging and the handwritten feel of the 'cool'. But I also used what I suspect is one of Donna's favourite colour combinations (although she often uses them on a craft card rather than white). I embossed the Paper Sushi sentiment and then sponged various distress inks over top. I then stamped the dots in the same colours of ink to create a tone-on-tone look.

Totally love this, Ardyth! I just pinned it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the swirls on the ends of the sentiment and the tone on tone dots rock!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. Love those dots that you added. They take it up a notch.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors & what a terrific font on that sentiment stamp!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this - definitely going to case this one. It is so pretty and striking.
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! Ardyth, this is so fabulous ... brilliant colours, gorgeous font ... bliss! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTotally in love with the bright colors, the randomly placed polka dots, and the cool script of the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteBut what I REALLY love is the white space that you left at the top & bottom of the stamped panel! It seems to anchor the image and keep it from 'slipping' into the main card base!
Love the bright colors and this fun design Ardyth Simple and clean! Also brilliant:)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite cards you have made. This is a very fun card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and cheerful way to say thank you! This is so fun.
ReplyDeleteI love that you added the stamped dots. Wonderful card as usual.
ReplyDeleteArdyth, I love Donna, too, and your take on her card is fabulous. Love the triple sentiment and the colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW this is very striking!
ReplyDeleteThis challenge had your name written all over it. I knew you'd make something amazing, you never disappoint ;) I love the colors and polka dots! Thanks for playing along at CASE Study!
ReplyDeleteSuch a yummy card, Ardyth! I'm sorry that I didn't see this earlier--I've been down with a cold. I may have to CASE this, and yes it's one of my fave color combos! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the sponging over the inking. Thanks for joining us at CASE Study this week :)
ReplyDeleteLove the different intensities of color between sponging and direct stamping! I will have to keep that in mind. I thought you used a watermark ink or something. Love that effect!
