OLW121 - Snowy Day!

This week's One Layer Wednesday challenge is being hosted by Susan. It's an inspiration challenge called "Snowy Day" based on December 30's posting on a site called Cake Wrecks. What a fun site - lots of inspiration there!

I chose this photo for inspiration -

I took the colourful row of stockings and the silver all-caps lettering to make this Christmas thank you card (still on our to-do list to write these!).

  9. So when I read about the challenge based on a Cake Wrecks post I thought, "how in the heck is that going to turn out" because all I've ever seen on that site is Tom Seleck cakes with chest hair, bloody bandaid cupcakes, roadkill cakes with entrails coming out (seriously!), etc. I had no idea they actually posted "nice" cakes. I think it's so funny that you chose the cake with a lot of white space on it!! Love that your exclamation point is purple instead of silver (right, that's not a shadow?)
