This card was inspired by a card made by this week's Featured Stamper, Sophie LaFontaine:
I changed the font and the colour combination. I used a Stampin' Up single Happy Birthday stamp from 2007 (don't have the name). Lining up the dots was another matter completely. In the end I stamped the navy dots first, using a row of dots from (probably) an old Papertrey set and then used the same stamp to stamp the green dots in between the navy. MUCH easier than stamping each one free hand!
fabulous! i love how beautifully CAS this is.
ReplyDeleteI love the striking simplicity of this. It would be great for a man's card.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant solution for stamping the dots! I always have trouble lining up little things like that - like gems (which always look crooked to me!)
ReplyDeleteSuch simple dots...such a BIG impact!!
ReplyDeleteBlue and yellow...one of my favorite color combinations! What a great idea for aligning the dots!! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper fun card Ardyth.
ReplyDeleteOK, I really need to stop commenting on your blog and go to bed already, but I can't help it. Love this one too!!

ReplyDeleteOop-my bad-a do-over
ReplyDeleteArdyth, super CAS and I like the version you did of Sophie's card. As you saw, I took the easy route and punched my stars instead of stamping dots. You did a great job with those dots, though. I probably wouldn't have gotten them straight. Ugh!
