OLW 75 - a day of "firsts"!

I made these cards to participate in my first-ever challenge - the One-layer Wednesday challenge hosted by Susan Raihala at simplicitybylateblossom.blogspot.com. About half of my extended family's birthdays fall between January 11 and March 5 and most of them are male, so this is a challenging time for me each year! I'll probably use these for my husband and one of my brothers-in-law.

I bought this star stamp at Michael's last night. I love the heavy lines and the ability to use it in more than one way. Now, which one to link to Susan's blog?

Supplies: Stamps: Unity, Stampin' Up!, Recollections
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White 120 lb
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, Stickles

  1. Welcome to Blogland, Ardyth! I will join your site, you can join mine and that gets the ball rolling. I know what it's like to be "out there" waiting for followers and comments - a bit scary! I haven't been doing this online thing for very long either (but have been stamping for ages), and am slowly entering challenges. I have to admit it's very time-consuming, but the best part: it is way FUN! Oh, and I really like your cards, especially the top one!

Lovely blog and lovely cards Ar! Did you fill those stars with Stickles? Sheila had a Stickle sale this week...

Congratulations on your new blog. I look forward to the posts!

  4. First of all, welcome to blogging, Ardyth! I've scrolled through the whole thing, and it's fabulous! LOVE the clean look (well, of course!) and hope you have fun with this!

Second, your cards for the challenge are both fabulous. LOVE the first for the three stars and the second for the cascade of them! Great colors, too!
