CASology 137 - Tropical

This week's CASology Cue Card is Tropical!

Perfect timing because I am going to go crazy if the weather doesn't warm up soon! lol! We have had less snow than usual, but we had the coldest February on record in Toronto. Last week was just as cold and we're just now seeing the first temperatures over freezing in a LONG time! Today is going up to 10 C (50 F) and it actually does feel tropical! lol!

My card was inspired by a CASology entrant from the 'mini' challenge, Ksenija, who created this amazing sunset. I spread my sunset across the front panel of the card and focused on my sentiment, (also linking up to OLS14, Words, Words, Words) that was created by using both Uniko and Technique Tuesday stamps.

So you can use sponging and blending and big bold sentiments on a CAS card, by limiting the amount of colour and ensuring lots of white space around it.

Now it's your turn! For more inspiration, check out what the rest of the DT came up with for this lovely, warm cue card!

Though I've never had the chance to visit the Tropics, I'm imagining their sunsets to look just like this, Ardyth... well done!

I'm with you on the dying for spring Ardyth - we still have over 4 feet of snow all over the place but temps rising everyday - so now we're afraid of flooding if it warms too quickly! I can feel the tropical breeze flowing from your wonderful design!

I am loving the tropical colors on this card Ardyth! I love the bold sentiments too, this card is fabulous. We broke records with our Feb. being the coldest too here in PA. We are glad to see temps in the 50's here too. lol I hope it stays, but I have feeling it won't. But I still know that spring is around the corner and so ready for it! Hugs, Brenda

Mmmm! More yummy masking and I love that big "spectacular"! And yes, the weather is insane. Today it's 63F here with a strong north ind (not sure what the wind chill is). Meanwhile it's 65F in chicago where my brother lives. He's outside practically sunbathing and we're bundled up like eskimos!
