Paper Smooches October Guest Designer - Part 4

Today is my final post as Paper Smooches October GD (sniff, sniff!). I've got two cards to show you.

My first one is pretty tradtional - I started by cutting a white panel as a square and then cut the bottom off using the bottom die from the Large Ornament die (I saw Nina-Marie do something similar last week). I inlaid the Merry Christmas die into that and then stamped a sentiment from Holiday Cheer.  I cut some pine sprigs from the Wreath Builder die in two colours of green and laid them onto the panel to emphasize the curves of the bottom of the white panel. Then I cut some berries from the Holly Dies (both the 3-berry cluster and a single berry to dot my 'i'). They are all coated in Christmas Red Stickles.

My second card combines Comforting Hugs (and matching dies) with sentiments from Sugar Rush and dots from Spreading Sunshine.

These bears are of the gummi persuasion - I was nervous about colouring them with Copics after stamping them with Stampin' Up ink, but there was no smudging at all!

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Kim once again for choosing me this month - it's been so much fun having the opportunity to play along with the DT!

  7. Two more fabulous cards featuring Kim's awesome stamps! Her handwritten sentiments are one of my all time fav - totally fun & whimsical!

Love the holly card and the cool partial 'ornament' die bottom. Sweet Stickled berries and "I" dot!

Second card....so dang cute! I was very surprised to learn that the SU ink didn't smear when partnered with Copics. Good thing to know!

  10. Two sweet cards, my friend. Love those bold, traditional Christmas colors on your first one, and those Stickles really add bold glittery color and loads of texture. The die cut edge is amazing as well. And your gummy bears.... This one's just so fun! Love these lighter 'gummy' colors! Sounds like you really had a great time as GD for PS. Well done sweetie!! Bev

  15. Oh Ardyth! I saw that Merry Christmas card and am in love. The colors are striking and just pop off the page, and those berries like candy I tell you.. and then EEEK! GUMMIE BEARS! How cool is that? We have a gummie bear factory just up the street (Albanese) you can watch them being made! so this is dear to my heart - I loved taking the kids there when they were little.
