Muse 67 - Happy Birthday!

Therese's card for this week's Muse Challenge is so fun and edgy!

I focused on the inlaid die cut, the colour scheme and the general layout. I used my trusty Papertrey flowers, a Papertrey Happy die and part of a Papertrey birthday sentiment, cut out with my SU! word punch. I made my own enamel dots for the flower centres by putting Crystal Effects on some cardstock circles cut with punches.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along this week - the deadline is Monday at 8 am EDT. After that, you can vote until Tuesday at 8 am, even if you don't get a chance to link up a card. The results of the vote will be posted on Tuesday at noon. Can't wait to see where this Muse takes you!

  3. I love the fun combination of color and and fonts on your card, Ardyth. Your homemade enamel dots are great. (I have to add that I'd love to see a project made with the aid of your super duper stamp positioner Virginia Lu mentioned.)

  5. First of all, I totally admire your patience in waiting for the flower centres to dry...without poke testing them!

Love the boldness of the flowers and the colors! AND, I adore the two shades of grey in the sentiment! It's ideas like this that make your cards beyond AMAZING!

  11. Ohhh, making your own enamel dots that way. Gotta try it...then I'd have more money to spend on stamps! Great card. Inlaid die cut technique at its best.

    1. Hi Dee! I made this card long before I started making videos, but I do have a video about inlaid die cutting that uses very similar techniques with different products: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OREpVRHozsA
