Muse #37 - Peace

Well here I am after telling you I would be too busy to post. But instead of staying home today and getting through my to-do list, I had lunch out with a friend (YUM!) (and it saves time because I won't need dinner) and then had an idea for this week's Muse challenge. Who needs to pack?! We're not leaving until 6 am tomorrow! And apparently the weather is going to be super hot on Friday and then super cool on Sunday, (and rainy the whole time!) so that doesn't complicate anything does it? lol! I'll get to those preparations next, but I really did not want to let a Muse go by without playing along, especially one as beautiful as Cindy's!

I focused on the slant of the focal panel and the die cut. I started by stamping the focal panel with an Impression Obsession Cover the Card background stamp. I used Sahara Sand, stamped off once, so that the lines would look soft and distressed.  Then I used my new Impress distressed peace (isn't that an oxymoron?!) sentiment and added an old Stampin' Up punched snowflake, finished with Stickles to represent Cindy's pearls.

And now, I really do have to run - there's lots to be done in the next few hours! Any non-rainy thoughts you'd care to send in the direction of Chicago and Milwaukee would be appreciated over the weekend!

  15. hahaha ... distressed peace ... that's a good one!

You're the master at peaceful "peace" cards. Love the use of green, instead of the non-Christmas blue that's usually used for "peace" cards.
