Muse #37 - Peace

Well here I am after telling you I would be too busy to post. But instead of staying home today and getting through my to-do list, I had lunch out with a friend (YUM!) (and it saves time because I won't need dinner) and then had an idea for this week's Muse challenge. Who needs to pack?! We're not leaving until 6 am tomorrow! And apparently the weather is going to be super hot on Friday and then super cool on Sunday, (and rainy the whole time!) so that doesn't complicate anything does it? lol! I'll get to those preparations next, but I really did not want to let a Muse go by without playing along, especially one as beautiful as Cindy's!

I focused on the slant of the focal panel and the die cut. I started by stamping the focal panel with an Impression Obsession Cover the Card background stamp. I used Sahara Sand, stamped off once, so that the lines would look soft and distressed.  Then I used my new Impress distressed peace (isn't that an oxymoron?!) sentiment and added an old Stampin' Up punched snowflake, finished with Stickles to represent Cindy's pearls.

And now, I really do have to run - there's lots to be done in the next few hours! Any non-rainy thoughts you'd care to send in the direction of Chicago and Milwaukee would be appreciated over the weekend!

Stamping off the background stamp was brilliant...it matches the distressed sentiment perfectly! Beautiful wee bits of sparkle on the snowflake! Seasonal serenity at its finest!

My turn to visit YOUR blog for a change! Every time I visit the challenge blogs, the first card I always seem to want to vote for is one of yours!! Then I quickly realize I cant, but I sure to LOVE them all and think of you as being an amazing designer.

I also want to thank YOU for all the really sweet and very kind comments you leave on my blog. I may not be able to visit as many as I would like, but I sure do appreciate everyone who stops by and I am very grateful for the kind words and thoughts that so many, like you -- leave for me.

This card is one of my favorite and is SO lovely and truly reminds me of the true meaning of the Holidays...Peace, Happiness and LOVE!!

I love this, Ardyth. You are the Master of CAS that just goes over the top! I love the white space and that snowflake is just a wonderful addition- it goes so well with the sentiment and design. Thanks for taking time out of a busy time to play along:)

hahaha ... distressed peace ... that's a good one!

You're the master at peaceful "peace" cards. Love the use of green, instead of the non-Christmas blue that's usually used for "peace" cards.
