FFC19 - Whimsy

Time for some mid-challenge inspiration for the current Festive Friday challenge:

This one was inspired by a photo on my Pinterest inspiration board. I think that the bright pink against the different shades of grey and white is really fun.

I used a Stampin' Up die, a Copic marker to colour the tree (I didn't have any pink cardstock that I felt was exactly the right colour!) and a Martha Stewart punch with glittery paper for the little star.

There's still time to play along - the deadline is on Wednesday - hope to see you there!

On another note, yesterday was my long-awaited trip to the David Bowie Is.... exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

It was amazing - I have been a fan since my early teens, I own every studio album and about 60% of the music on my MP3 player is Bowie. The exhibit was made up of a lot of the stage costumes that he's worn on stage and in videos throughout the years, handwritten lyrics and other memorabilia and music, music, music! A perfect way to spend a couple of hours!

  3. Three things rocking in your post:
    1) the fabulous and utterly whimsical and perfectly colored pink Christmas tree
    2) David Bowie's make-up job (image that make-up artist could produce one amazing Copic colored project!)
    3) Your bag...and your skinny jeans (which you look awesome in!)

  7. Fabulous pink on grey, Ardyth ... and the wee glittery star is perfect! What a brilliant photo of you in front of DB ... the exhibition sounds as though it was awesome! Do I recall you making a card based on this make up some time ago ... or is just that 'I Wish You Would' (not that I want to put you 'Under Pressure')! Anita :)

  9. I think it's so clever how both weeks you managed to tackle this theme with your signature style... I really struggled with this one! Gorgeous, both weeks - and I am sorry I'm tardy with commenting!

  10. Love the little pink tree on your cool card! So glad you got to attend the Bowie exhibit. Here is a link to some Bowie that I thought you might like. Some of it, in fact, might be what was on display at the exhibit you attended.
