CTS17 - Spring is Coming, right?

Time for CTS17! Here's this week's sketch:

We've just had a dumping of very, very wet and heavy snow (although not as much as some places, such as Kansas, thank goodness!). Here's the view from my front door - I can grudgingly admit that the trees are pretty:

It's so soggy and slushy and disgusting here, that I just had to make something green.

I tried something new (for me) with this card - I put the colour on the inside! I started with a white card, drew light pencil lines to find where I wanted the centre of my focal point to be and then lined up my little square nestability with the lines 4 times to create the window. I put a panel of green on the inside of the card to give a pop of colour and a background for my Papertrey daisy. The Verve sentiment is the finishing touch on this fresh birthday card that I'll send to my sister-in-law for her birthday later in March.

Now it's your turn - I can't wait to see your take on this sketch!

PS - MASKerade hit another milestone yesterday - 100,000 views! One. Hundred. Thousand. Holy Wow! I never ever would have even thought to wish for that when I started 13 months ago. Thank you so much!

Ardyth, you've got to stop. My jaw is all bruised from hitting my desk everytime you post another incredible card! I'm with you--this is a perfect time to see a flower and some green after all the snow we've had this month. The little sentiment doesn't detract from the beauty of the white space and other elements. I love this one (in addition to all the others you've made..) Bev

Wow your snow picture is gorgeous! I can understand it could get old very quickly!!! Don't see any snow here (Australia) unless you travel to mountains!!
Fabulous take on the sketch! Love the hint of green on the inside. X

Such a pretty card, Ardyth!

Congrats on that 100000 views! I remember when I first started out and looking at 40000 views and thinking it would never happen, LOL! It's so lovely that people like what we do and come to visit again and again. :-)

Wow, I'm so suprised you've only been doing this for 13 months. I never would have guessed! Well, I'm about 12 months behind you and can't imagine ever hitting 100,000. Congrats! Good for you.

This card is all kinds of cute. I may be a little biased because I have a weakness for springy greens, but I have to say this is my favorite card I've seen all week. Great job.

Looks like you've got the same landscape as I do! Ick. Spring can't come quickly enough! I am so done with snow! LOL!

This is such a sweet card, Ardyth! Is it really any wonder you've reached 100,000 views...with YOUR talent?! :) So happy to have met you here in the blogosphere!!!

Only 100,000? Some people are missing out on your fabulous creations. Daisies are my favorite and the green really makes it pop.

Such a clever use of this sketch, and so great that the green pops through the window. That snow looks amazing and hard to imagine when we are sitting here in our Summer... maybe technically we are in Autumn now...

WHOO-HOO on your 100K!! Wonder where you'll be artistically when you hit 200K : ) So smart of you to keep the color on the inside of your card. Such a great backdrop for your fresh daisy!

I don't know why you are so surprised that your blog hit 100K? Your CAS designs are unique, refreshing and each of your cards are perfectly constructed. They are clean and simple at it's best and so inspiring. I too wonder where your artistic journey will take you as the years pass? As for THIS pretty, spring window card ... it is lovely. Like the window concept w/the color inside and the single daisy. Your SIL will adore it. :)

The heavy, wet snow that you are 'enjoying' right now is quickly forgotten by the fresh and 'springy' feeling that you have captured in this A-MAZING card! Love it!

Love the color on the inside...definitely going to have to try that. I always love to see how you interpret the sketch...your creativity is always inspiring. P.S. Thanks for your comment. I debated whether or not even to post my card, but I actually thought of you after I made my card and thought if you can interpret sketches with a different twist, I might as well, too. Thanks for the encouragement.
