Three CAS Challenges

Three CAS challenges today!

CASE Study 115:                                                                CAS(E) this Sketch 4:

and CASual Friday 77:

The inspiration for the treatment of the Michael's sentiment was inspired by this photo on my Inspiration Board on Pinterest:

stamp

I thought the off the edge words were interesting.

Put it all together, and this is what I got! I used the new Papertrey set Super Stripes. The stripes are almost 7" long, so that you can stamp diagonally across the front of a 5.5x4.25 card. Here's the question, though - does anyone have an acrylic block that long? I don't - I just stamped away, with the 'tail' of the stamp hanging off the edge of the block. Actually, I suppose you could use a Cuttlebug B or C plate as a block - I'd love to hear if you have any other ideas!

I have a 5" x 7" acrylic block and another even bigger than that one. I've also seen long and narrow ones that might be 7 or 8 inches long. You can also use plastic packaging to mount clear stamps so that might work for your long stamps. I've used a Stampin' Up clear box in the past and it worked fine.

What an amazing b.d. card. I just ADORE your design! 7 Gypsies, Donna Salazar, Inkadinkadoo all make a 2x7 block. There is also one in Tim Holtz' block collection. Apple Pie is the only vendor I know who sells a 2x8 blocks. My preference is the thicker Inkadinkadoo block, of which I have two. Good luck finding a block to accomodate the PTI stamp. :)

Great card, Ardyth! I like your jumbled sentiment!

I don't have a long acrylic block, and it drives me crazy. Now that you've given me the idea, I'm going to try my Big Shot plate... :-)

Wow again! The sentiment is absolutely clever. What a great way to "use up" space when something bold is needed for balance.

Just a suggestion for the block. Auto glass repair shops (like Speedy) can custom cut glass and round the edges. They usually have different thicknesses available as well.

LOVE your card!! Know what it reminds me of? Those TV shows or commercials that try to get you to concentrate on them by flashing scenes really quickly ... making your eye try to piece it all together. That's what your card does!

And I chuckle thinking about using my big shot plate to stamp with. It's all warped and cut. I don't know how that happens to me.
